Riverfest 5K volunteers needed!

Join in the 1st Riverfest 5K on Saturday July 8th! Volunteers are needed throughout the event to help set-up, direct families to activities (face painting for kids), be at 1 mile and 2 mile markers to hand out water and call out times (bring a chair), hand out snacks after the race, hand out awards, and drive a gator to pick up cones after the race is complete.
Volunteers should plan to arrive at 6:00 AM at the Anoka High School located at 3939 7th Ave. Anoka MN 55303. Shifts begin at 6:00 AM and end around 9:00 AM or so. You choose what activity you'd like to participate in. Stick around after and check out Riverfest in Anoka!

Volunteers enroll by completing a skills and interests checklist and these are matched to community needs. From the matches, the volunteer selects a volunteer job that is meaningful and fits.
