Do you love the arts? Davis Co. Retired & Senior Volunteer Program is looking for Docents, age 55 or better, to serve at the Bountiful Davis Art Center. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who would love to serve a few hours a week in a serene, air conditioned environment. Volunteers will sit at the front desk and greet visitors to the Art Center as well as answering telephones and assisting visitors. There may also be some filing & clerical work, but computer skills are not a requirement.
Times needed are Monday 11:00am - 2:00pm, Friday 11:00am - 2:00pm, and Saturdays 12:00pm - 5:00pm. Shifts are flexible and may be split between two volunteers.
This opportunity is offered through Davis Co. Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) and is for people age 55 or better. Benefits of volunteering through RSVP include mileage reimbursement for travel between home and the Art Center, as well as supplemental insurance coverage while serving. Volunteers receive training/orientation.

Americans 55+ have a lifetime of experience to share and the desire to make a real difference in their world. Members of this mature generation have managed households, been business owners and nurses, farmers and salespeople, artists and executives. Now they are ready to put their unique talents and expertise to work in their communities, and enrich their own lives in the process.
RSVP is the connection to aid volunteers in choosing how and where to serve, time of service, causes to support, and how to get started. RSVP provides pre-service orientation, training from the organization where service is given, supplemental insurance while on duty, and, in some cases, a mileage reimbursement to cover the cost of travel between home and the volunteer site.
When you volunteer, you're not just helping others - you're helping yourself. Volunteering leads to new discoveries and new friends. Plus, studies show that volunteering helps you live longer and promotes a positive outlook on life.
