ORGANIZATION: All American Assistance Dogs

  • 3 people are interested

We are looking for volunteers in areas ranging from Burien to Covington to Spanaway to Olympia to Gig Harbor to help All American Assistance Dogs promote the opportunity to become a Foster Home for a service dog-in-training puppy on their path to help veterans with PTSD and traumatic brain injuries. The volunteer will contact the managers or homeowner's associations of communities where retired people live. They then will go to the community to post or distribute (with permission) fliers promoting the opportunity to be a foster home.

The volunteer must have their own car and insurance. Training is provided about the basics of All American Assistance Dogs and the likely communication needed. All American Assistance Dogs also will provide a list of communities to contact.

All American Assistance Dogs will reimburse mileage at the IRS mileage rate.
