We are seeking volunteers ages 16+ to assist with our numerous summer camps. Camps run Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Even if you cannot commit to a full day/week and are still interested, please contact us.
Please note that all education volunteers ages 18 and over are subject to a background check.
CAHS is offering five different camps this year for children ages 4-16. Campers will experience hands-on activities with shelter pets, gain knowledge from educational speakers, enjoy animal-related arts & crafts, enrichment projects, games, and much more.

The mission of the Capital Area Humane Society is to promote the humane treatment of companion animals through protection, placement, education, and example.
Description
The Capital Area Humane Society is a non-profit organization that cares for over 10,000 animals annually. In 2016, we had a save rate of over 95%.
We are more than just an animal shelter. We offer traditional adoptions, as well as spay & neuter services for the public, obedience and behavioral programs, pet wellness programs, educational services for children including after-school programs and summer, winter, and spring camps, and a pet food bank.
