About

Volunteer in a Nature Reserve on the Isle of Youth! You would be assisting with important marine conservation efforts such as Coral Reef Restoration, Sea Turtle monitoring and Coastal Habitat Restoration, supporting the local community of Cocodrilo through sustainable means.

Coral Reef Restoration volunteers will partake in Coral reef monitoring and gardening, Fish/Seagrass surveying, Lionfish monitoring and capture, depending on the local community needs. Data collected will help support the environmental planning of the protected area. Sea Turtle conservation volunteers will walk the beach and collect data on the nesting turtles, nests, and eggs, and contribute to a recently started local sea turtle conservation initiative, while the Coastal Restoration volunteers assist with the maintenance of beaches important to the turtles.
