Hiking with Blind and Visually Impaired
ORGANIZATION: Northwest Association for Blind Athletes
Please visit the new page to apply.
The Northwest Association for Blind Athletes is looking for volunteers who are interested in hiking with indivudals who are blind and visually impaired. Our athletes are eager and excited to be outdoors, and would love a sighted guide to help them through the amazing trails the Northwest has to offer. NWABA will be hiking the Cape Horn Trail July 8th, and we need at least 3 volunteers to help guide our athletes. The trail is moderate in intensity, and offers amazing fews of the Columbia River Gorge. Volunteers do not need to have any previous experience as a guide, just a good attitude and a helpful hand. If you are interested in learning more about the event, please contact our Programs Specialist Krista Pomeroy for more information.
