Looking for a rewarding group volunteer event along the Mississippi River?
Lend a hand in your national park, the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area! Mississippi Park Connection, in partnership with the National Park Service and Dakota County, will be working on restoration at Spring Lake Park Reserve in Hastings. We need a group of up to 30 volunteers to help with planting, seeding and other restoration activities in the park.
We will provide gloves and all necessary tools and equipment. Come out and help us plant for the future!

The Volunteers-In-Parks program, jointly managed by Mississippi National River and Recreation Area and Mississippi Park Connection, connects, educates, and promotes the enjoyment of the resources of the Mississippi River through unique and entertaining volunteer opportunities to the entire community.
Description
The Volunteers-In-Parks program is a joint program with Mississippi Park Connection. Mississippi National River and Recreation Area represents America's greatest river, the Mississippi, which weaves together the natural and cultural heritage and economic vitality of the region. The National Park Service works with partners to foster increased citizen awareness, advocacy, and enjoyment of the resources of the Mississippi River.
Volunteer-In-Parks provides people with opportunities to discover, experience, and enjoy the diversity of the Mississippi River while also preserving it for future generations through volunteer restoration projects and education programs.
