What is AIM?
The Alzheimer's Impact Movement (AIM), the sister organization of the Alzheimer’s Association, is a nonpartisan, nonprofit advocacy organization. AIM works in strategic partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association to make Alzheimer’s a national priority. Thanks to the support of its members, AIM has driven Congress to take historic steps to address the Alzheimer’s crisis - but much more remains to be done.
What is this for? Here at the Capital of Texas Chapter, we have our annual Walk to End Alzheimer's and with that, we have a walk planning committee. This committee helps make the walk reach its potential for the walkers and teams. This year the committee has a new volunteer position called AIM-Advocacy Committee.AIM-Advocacy Chair: serves as the primary lead for recruiting Alzheimer's Impact Movement (AIM) members throughout the Walk planning process. The AIM-Advocacy Chair will assemble a committee to recruit new AIM members and advocates from all sectors of the community.
AIM- Committee member: The subcommittee is responsible for recruiting new AIM members and advocates from all sectors of the community.
- Recruit 50% of the Walk Planning Committee to join AIM
- Participate in AIM's "Power or 10" Challenge
- Recruit advocates and AIM members on Walk Day
