Novant Health Hospice offers a unique service to all of our patients through our Giving Gardens Program. Through this program all of our patients are delivered fresh flowers, and flowers are kept on all of our Hospice Units.
Every Tuesday, ladies come in to our office at 324 N. McDowell St. and clean the flowers. They take them out of the wrapping, dispose of the dead, and take off unwanted leaves, etc...
We are in need of 2-3 volunteers to come in every Tuesday to clean flowers. Typically volunteer come in around 9-9:30 and stay about an hour to 1 1/2 hours.

Mission Statement

Description
Providing care for a loved one who is sick and can no longer look after themselves can be one of the biggest challenges a family has to face. These conditions can arise from old age, severe illness or crippling injuries, but regardless of the cause, we believe that no family should have to face these challenges alone.
Our hospice services provide a wide range of services and care-giving that can help patients and their loved ones when it is needed the most. Comfort, compassion and dignity are at the forefront of the care we provide.
Our hospice care specialists provide care for terminally ill patients and their families. We know how sensitive these times may be, and our goal is to provide patients and their families with effective healthcare that will improve the quality of a patient’s last days.
We provide an individualized treatment plan to comfortably manage pain and physical symptoms of each need a patient may have. Our team is made of doctors, nurses, medical social workers, chaplains, grief counselors, and volunteers that work together to help patients live life as comfortably and fulfilled as possible.
