- A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
Our annual summer picnic draws nearly 1,000 people affiliated with our program: Bigs, Littles, and family members alike! Big Brothers Big Sisters would like to invite a team of volunteers to help make this event a success by providing logistical support. These volunteers would be given an orientation to BBBS from 10:00 - 10:30am, then provide critical event support by directing traffic, welcoming our guests, and giving information throughout the morning.
After our guests have arrived, volunteers would join our staff and guests for lunch via food truck! After lunch there will be a few miscellaneous support tasks (refilling water, etc.) to make our BBBS summer get-together a HUGE success.

Mission Statement
Create and support mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.
Description
Big Brothers Big Sisters Twin Cities is the largest youth mentoring organization in the greater Twin Cities area serving Hennepin, Ramsey, Anoka and parts of Dakota and Washington counties. Each year, we match up to 3,000 youth (Littles) and their families with caring adults (Bigs) who volunteer as youth mentors.
All youth benefit from having another caring adult in their life as they experience life's opportunities and challenges. With support of our community of participants, partners, staff and board, we want every young person to have a mentor, be affirmed in who they are, and explore who they want to be.
