ORGANIZATION: Flat River Outreach Ministries

We are looking for people to help sort donations who like to organize, but don't mind the mess that comes with a busy donation room! Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and enjoy working with others. The job will require bringing donated goods to the appropriate departments (carts available, but the ideal candidate must be able to walk and push the cart with donations).

Flexible schedule but looking for someone who can volunteer at least 3 hours at a time on Friday or Saturday mornings or afternoons.

This is a great opportunity for those who want to be a little more active while also giving back to their community.

All volunteers will be trained and must attend a volunteer orientation. Volunteers receive a Treasures Thrift Shop discount after volunteering 10 hours.

All proceeds from Treasures Thrift Shop help support our mission of helping our neighbors in need.

Mission Statement

To be the Greater Lowell community hub where hope, resources, and gifts are shared.

Description

Flat River Outreach Ministries (FROM) is a nonprofit organization focused on bringing together individuals, families, churches and businesses to respond to the needs of our neighbors in the greater Lowell community. Organized in 1998 by 13 local churches, FROM works alongside families in need to help them improve their quality of life.

What began as a small community food pantry, serving an average of 20 families each month, is now a full-service ministry that provides services to over 300 families every month in the Lowell Area School District.

We are funded by generous support of the community which includes those who donate to and shop at our Treasures Thrift Shop.
