ORGANIZATION: Doors of Change, also known as Photocharity

"Taking Music & Arts to the Streets" program in Ocean Beach is an award winning program for Homeless Youth ages 12-24 years old. In 4 years, over 1500 Homeless youth came for 3700 classes. For free Homeless youth get free classes in 8 instuments (Violin, Guitar, Mandolin, Ukalale, keyboard, drums, harmonica, Base) or art. Youth receive case management for ID's, Food stamps, health Insurance, Home cooked dinners, clothes, shoes , Etc.

The result of this class is building trust months sooner then with typical outreach. Once a Homeless Youth trusts you, they will ask for more help. Some transition into our Housing program to learn the skills to stay off the streets.

Our volunteer coordinator just left for a family emergency. We need an organized, passionate about helping Homeless Youth, people person to be the lead coordinator for other volunteers from 3:15pm-6:15pm on Sundays in Ocean Beach. You will be incharge of managing volunteers in set up, clean down, making next day meal bags, & deligate what is needed, get snacks as needed (reinbursed). Go to www.DoorsofChange.org.
