Stamford Academy serves about 135 high school students who have been unsuccessful in other schools. The number of students with Individual Education Plans (IEPs) is about twice the rate of Stamford Public Schools, yet Stamford is able to provide only one SPED teacher. You know how important one-on-one instruction is. Do you have a couple of hours to spare once a week during the school year and school day to help tutor a student? Training provided. To meet our kids is to love them. They are wary and giving; have big dreams and struggle to stay on task; are talented and funny; and may have not had dinner the night before. If you'd like to know more, please contact me.
