Do you like tracking down free things on Craigslist and "curbside shopping"? We need your skills!!!!
Homeless Gear's employment program, Hand Up, is about to start conducting a bridge house for its' clients. This will be a town home, 3 bedrooms 3.5 baths, that will house three homeless, employed individuals, provide ongoing case management to those participants and, ultimately, help those participants transition into higher-paying employment and alternative housing.
The lease on this town home starts on July 1st and we hope to have it ready around mid July. Where we could really use some extra support is with finding all the furnishings for the home. We need everything from mattresses and bed frames, to bath towels and dishes. If there is anyone who would feel comfortable taking the lead on this mission, with support from other volunteers and staff, please reach out and we will provide you with the complete list of items we are looking for.
