We need to update our website with convenient funtions and applications and to make it more funtional and user freindly. We are in need of a committed website developer who is committed and willing to work with us.
Reporting directly to and working closely with the President and CEO, the Website Content Designer will support Cheza Nami Foundation’s mission statement through developing and maintaining Cheza Nami's website. Must be familiar with drag-and-drop website builder, Weebly, and having experience with Wordpress is preferred. Also, must have knowledge in HTML, CSS, PHP, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and AdWords.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Optimize and transform current website content according to the CEO's vision to showcase Cheza Nami's values in a clean and minimalistic approach.
- Develop and maintain website content that aligns with the organization's short-term and long-term marketing targets
- Collaborate with the CEO and Board to plan and develop site content, style and layout
- Maintain and publish engaging content - edit, proofread and improve content posts
- Update website as needed, and ensure compliance with law (e.g. copyright and data protection)

Founded in 2011, "Cheza Nami" is Swahili for "Come play with me". Cheza Nami is a California based 501(c)3 non-profit organization, with headquarters in Pleasanton, California that believes in a play based approach to cultural education. Cheza Nami encourages diversity awareness through African culture and uses dance, play and movement to deliver a unique learning experience.
Cheza Nami envisions a culturally diverse world where individuals of all ages can embrace the concept of global citizenship and understand the fundamental interconnectedness of all things.
