My New Red Shoes has served over 45,000 homeless and low-income children and youth since 2006 and is serving over 10,000 students this school year.
We are in great need of volunteers who are fluent in Spanish to volunteer with My New Red Shoes. Volunteers will reach out to Spanish-speaking families we are looking to serve with new shoes and clothing gift cards in order to collect basic information. Volunteers will help us cross a language barrier and assist us in helping Spanish-speaking low-income and homeless children for the back to school season.
Please reach out if you are looking for a volunteer opportunity and have time available over the next week to make phone calls. This volunteer opportunity can be done both remotely and on-site.

Description
Children living in poverty confront many hardships, but the stress and impact of hot having their basic needs met is consistently cited by researchers, educators, and child welfare advocates as a major barrier to children's healthy development and success in school. By mobilizing resources and advocating for children and families experiencing economic hardship, MNRS actively works to reduce the impact of income inequality. Since 2006, MNRS has connected more than 100,000 local children and their families to resources and supports that boost quality of life, provide stability, strengthen well-being, and cultivate a sense of belonging.
