We are looking for an experienced photographer to support SFARY's Development/Media Arts/Social Media teams. Most of the photography work would be simply capturing youth engaged in hands-on program activities.

Our current program is the Firefighter Youth Academy (FYA). This program provides guidance, resources and learning opportunities for young people who are at risk of social, academic and economic failure. The program uses public safety (Firefighter and EMT/Paramedic) training as a platform to promote technical learning, skill building and good-decision making.

Media Arts Team- Cadets will learn how to produce and utilize media as an effective method to communicate and promote public safety concepts to residents. This group will work in collaboration with VCAT to create public safety announcements (PSA) that will air on VCAT's local cable TV and PEG access channel. The members of this team will interface with Social Media team as well.

Social Media Team- Cadets will learn how to create, establish and maintain effective social media vehicles (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) to promote public safety and gain community support for the FYA. A crowd funding campaign will be organized and launched to provideadditional program sustainability for the FYA.

Development Team- We have been working on building a campaign to raise local, state and federal funding to continue to support our current programs and hopefully continue to expand our reach by starting additional programs.
