ORGANIZATION: Solutions for At Risk youth

SFARY (Solutions for At Risk Youth)

SFARY is a non-profit organization which provides guidance, resources and learning opportunities for young people who are at risk of social, academic and economic failure.

Our current program, the Firefighter Youth Academy uses public safety (Firefighter and EMT/Paramedic) training as a platform to promote technical learning, skill building and good-decision making. We are currently working on building a campaign to raise local, state and federal funding to continue to support our current programs as well as expanding our reach with additional programs.

We are looking for someone with grant writing experience to join our team. Specifically, we would like additional help in researching possible funding opportunities and writing/applying for state, federal and local community funding. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be extremely organized, self-motivated and most importantly must be able to meet deadlines.

This position will require an initial in-person meeting (virtual meeting is an option for non-local candidates) and possibly a few infrequent in-person meetings. Most of the work can be done remotely. There is a very likely future opportunity for hard working, productive volunteers to transition to a paid position!
