Howdy, cowpokes! Can you volunteer for the Country Run?
The Corner Store Country Run is back in Denver on Saturday, July 8 at the National Western Complex and we need volunteers! What could be better than making a difference in your local community while havin' a great time?
The Country Run series benefits Big Brothers Big Sisters and local children’s charities in each race market. We can't do it again this year without volunteers like you! Email Juiana at julianaw@biglittlecolorado.org to register for a Country Run volunteer shift on Friday, July 7 or Saturday, July 8 to give back to children's charities in your community.
We currently need volunteers for the following roles:
- Registration: Assist with registration, T-shirt distribution and start line organization
- Water Stop: Hand out water & cheer on runners during the race
- Floater: Lend a helpin' hand and fill in where needed on race morning
- Finish Line: Assist with finish line activities including handing out ribbons and water to runners
- Carnival Booths: Operate simple carnival games and distribute prizes
- Sponsor Activations: Assist sponsors in handing out products
- Load Out: Help our event management team collect items from the fair
Country Run volunteers receive a free T-shirt, backpack and entry to the Country Fair with live music, snacks, sponsor swag, and carnival games.

The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado, Inc. is to provide the service of supervised mentoring by caring and consistent adults to children in need of a positive role model, as well as providing support, education and direction to help enrich the lives of all people, including children, volunteers and families.
Description
Being a Big Brother or Big Sister means being a special friend and role model to a child through one-to-one caring and consistent relationships. Programs are flexible to accommodate a variety of schedules. An assortment of activity options and ideas are provided along with training and the support of professional case managers to ensure a positive experience for both the child and volunteer.
