HOPE Center for the Arts is a 501(c)(3) which serves adults aged twenty-two years and above with developmental and intellectual disabilities such as, but not limited to: Autism, Down Syndrome, Williams Syndrome, Savant Syndrome among many others. We are a multi-faceted visual and performing arts program designed to serve individuals discovering and displaying their talent, interest and motivation within the arts. Our program is excited to offer our artists a variety of classes for everyone to reach their full potential.
We are a multi-faceted fine arts program for adults with intellectual disabilities designed to serve individuals showing talent, interest or motivation in the arts. Our teaching staff consists of artists, performers, and creative art therapists who bring a collaborative approach to working with this special population.
The Social Media volunteer will be instrumental in increasing our social media presence and building digital brand awareness through social media for HOPE Center for the Arts.
Responsibilities:
- Create brand awareness via social media platforms
- Develop a successful social media strategy that builds on our audience base across multiple platforms
- Write and distribute relevant content to social media
- Post regularly on all social media, assist with following up on various pages for comments, inquiries, and tracking insights
- Assist with writing press releases
- Monitor and engage our audiences via our social media platforms
- Increase, fans, likes and follows
- Track social media engagement statistics
- Internet research to find and engage with social media communications
- Participate in outreach and marketing team efforts as directed
- Research and present new social media platforms
- Create, evolve and disseminate content on current website
Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience and knowledge in social media and promotions
- Be able to meet deadlines
- Be flexible - an ability to work well in an environment where needs and priorities are subject to much revision
- Excellent grammar and composition skills
- Ability to work under pressure with a positive attitude
- Effective time management skills
- Enthusiasm for the design process and attentiveness to different project goals
Duration: 3 months, 20 hours a week; 10 hrs in house (days are flexible)
School hours are 8:30am to 2:30pm
