- A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
The Thornton Adopt-A-Street program encourages citizens to take an active role in their community by helping to keep our streets free of litter. Show you care about Thornton and help the environment by volunteering to Adopt-A-Street.
By volunteering to Adopt-A-Street, individuals, groups, or organizations agree to remove litter from a selected roadway for a period of one year. Volunteers are asked to conduct their cleanups once a month, weather permitting. The City will provide volunteers with trash bags, safety vests, and will also post a sign indicating the name of the adopting group at their section of adopted street.
