The purpose of Assignment:

• Office Support Volunteers will help with various projects in the outreach office to support the work and mission ofSafehope (formerly Harvey County Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Safehouse now serving Harvey, Marion and McPherson counties).

Task:

• Assist Outreach and Safehouse staff in projects as needed

• Shred sensitive documents

• Prepare mailings

• Maintain pamphlet and resource inventory

• Document and packet preparation

• Prepare of "Thank you letter" to donors

• others duties as needed

Time Commitment:

• 2-3 hours per week

Training & Supervision:

• Attends general volunteer orientation

• Completes office orientation which includes training on the following items: copy machine, phone system.

• Supervision conducted by Outreach Staff or designated staff

Skills Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• An ability to relate in a nonjudgmental manner with individuals and groups within a wide range of problem areas.

• An ability to handle emergency situations.

• An ability to maintain confidentiality.

• An ability to work without direct supervision and complete task in an efficient manner.

Special Licenses, Diplomas, Certifications or Requirements:

• Successful completion of a criminal record check
