ORGANIZATION: iPRAXIS

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
  • 1 person is interested

This itself is not a volunteer opportunity. This is an open house for people with a background or interest in science, technology, engineering or math, and an interest in working with kids, to come and learn about our organization and what we do. Volunteering would likely not start until fall 2017, and includes in-class mentoring, science fair judging, the giving of presentations, facilitating workshops and field trips, and assisting with events.

Mission Statement

iPraxis is a nonprofit organization where we encourage students in Philadelphia’s public and charter schools to embrace and pursue STEM learning opportunities. Using inquiry and project-based learning activities like science fairs, in-class presentations, workshops, field trips, and career fairs, students gain insight into how things work in the real world and discover new possibilities for their future.
