Adult ESL Class (Lilburn) Tuesday or Thursday evenings - Teach Adults to learn English

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Catholic Charities Atlanta

Make a big impact in someone's life! Help adults learn to speak English by serving one evening each week.

We are recruiting adult volunteers with excellent English language skills to teach and assist at our Lilburn location, Our Lady of the Americas Mission. Classes begin in August and end before Thanksgiving. The commitment we seek from volunteers is to be in a classroom once a week for two hours.

The students attend class two evenings a week Tuesday and Thursday for three hours. The students are with the lead instructor from 6:00PM to 7:00PM, in one large group. Then they are divided into smaller groups, based on their ability to speak English, and taught by volunteers for the last two hours 7:00PM to 9:00PM. During this time, our goal is for the students to speak as much as possible.

We will have an orientation and training meeting for people interested in volunteering on Thursday, July 13th 10 AM to 1:00PM.
