Indian Rock Nature Preserve has two honey bee hives on the farm, used in educational programs and to pollinate our apple orchard. We are looking for an experienced beekeeper to assist the staff in the care and maintenance of the hives throughout the year.

Description
Environmental Learning Center of Connecticut, ELCCT, offers a diversity of hands-on experiential programs using a variety of resources and facilities. Our programs are offered at the Barnes Nature Center, Indian Rock Nature Preserve and in the schools of Connecticut. We annually provided our environmental educational programs to over 25,000 children and families from over 70 Connecticut communities! In addition to our education programs, ELCCT also serves as a land trust and has protected over 750 acres of land in Bristol and Burlington, Connecticut. We encourage you to get involved.
