Every day cancer patients in the Greater Duluth/Superior Area miss potentially life-saving cancer treatment appointments, simply because they couldn’t get there. Some don’t have a car, and others may be too ill to drive. But they all need the same thing: A ride.
Save a life.... by taking a drive..... Join our Road to Recovery Program! Volunteer drivers donate their time and use their vehicles to take cancer patients to treatment. They also provide encouragement and support. Drivers must have a valid driver’s license, access to the internet, have a safe, reliable vehicle and proof of automobile insurance. Volunteer drivers must have a good driving history and be in good health.... This opportunity is very flexible, you decide when you drive and how far.
Volunteer Mike K, said "I drive for the smiles!" A cancer survivor himself, he loves giving back. Mansoor says, "I can literally be a direct part of someone getting better, I don't know of another volunteer role that can do that"
