Serve on a committee and help Habitat for Humanity of Sarpy County build more homes and help more deserving families!

Developmental - If you enjoy a good conversation, then sign up to work with this team. You’ll be cultivating major donors, coordinate fundraising, writing grant proposals & providing education to your community on who Habitat for Humanity of Sarpy County really is.

Family Selection - You can be a member of this committee and help select one of our new applicants to receive a home of their own. You’ll be busy screening applications by our criteria, then interview applicants & finally, recommend the best applicant to the Board of Directors. End result- approval of our next homeowner!

Family Support - Maybe you’d like to be a part of the support system for our prospective Habitat Homeowners? Then look no further, this committee needs you! This committee offers the families a total support system and educational classes about home ownership and maintenance of the new property. You can help the families move from being renters to knowledgeable homeowners!

Site Selection - If you have an eye for locating affordable housing then you’ve found the best committee to "Get Involved"! The members of this group will target & recommend sites to the Corp. for research, investigate & develop the available property. You’ll recommend properties to the Board of Directors for Acquisitions.

Construction Committee - Are you or someone you know experts in any area of construction? Then this group could use you. You will be working towards obtaining house plans, acquiring professional help, along with donations of building materials. All the while, coordinating & supervising the house construction.

Rehabilitation Construction Committee - This groups volunteers work hand in hand with the construction committee to plan and implement projects for Habitat of Sarpy County. Planning, organizing professional help, donations of building supplies and directing this group of volunteers.

Church Relations - Would you enjoy working to establish and help maintain relationships with Sarpy County churches? In order to recruit volunteers, who would raise funds, and request prayers within our community.

Celebration Committee - Are you excited to be celebrating all sorts of events? Then join this group in planning & organizing events for the Sarpy County community, including parades, National Day of Prayer and the annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner! You’ll be working with the Building committee to choose dates for: Groundbreaking, dedications, as well as arranging appropriate speakers when needed. And of course we’ll need food & beverages for events too. If we haven’t pushed your volunteer buttons yet, then you could also compile an invite list & then mail the invitations out to the community.
