Family Engagement
Family Engagement at Esperanza

Esperanza is accepting volunteer inquiries from individuals who would like to become more involved with parents & families in our Hispanic community. Family Engagement empowers parents/families to be their children’s "first teachers" and educates them on navigating and engaging the educational system. The ESL (English as a Second Language) Program provides adults an opportunity to learn English. The Program intends to increase the involvement of Latino parents in their children’s education by helping them learn about the intricacies of negotiating change and improving education in their communities.

This volunteer is responsible for providing ESL instruction to adults . Volunteers should be bilingual, have prior public speaking/ESL teaching experience, complete Esperanza on boarding process, and pass Esperanza background check.
