Esperanza is accepting volunteer inquiries from individuals who would like to become more involved with parents & families in our Hispanic community. The program empowers parents to be their children’s "first teachers" and educate them on navigating and engaging the educational system. The Program intends to increase the involvement of Latino parents in their children’s education by helping them learn about the intricacies of negotiating change and improving education in their communities.
This volunteer is responsible for providing ESL instruction to adults . The ideal volunteer wil be bilingual in both Spanish and English. The time commitment for the opportunity: twice a week, 2 hour sessions, in the evening or morning.
