If you love music, share your knowledge and your talents with our Hospice patients! Join the @Heart Music Therapy Program!
Music is a gift that lifts spirits and sometimes helps us forget about pain and suffering. This is our goal for our patients who are dealing with terminal illness. We believe that Music Therapy will help our hospice patients escape their stresses. When tunes are played or songs are sung, memories can be triggered that may engage their emotions. Your visits will also provide social interaction, which should not be lost at this time. While listening to music is a form of entertainment and enjoyment, it can also help with breathing control as the patient listens and relaxes to the beats of the music.
