TwainFest is a FREE celebration of Mark Twain and other writers of the 19th century.
Volunteer as a Venue Manager or Assistant Manager where guests will hear works by Walt Whitman, Emily Dickinson, Harriet Beecher Stowe, Paul Laurence Dunbar, Edgar Allan Poe and others, read aloud by San Diego actors.
Volunteer as a Literary Arcade Facilitator where children and adults of all ages can play games such as Fish for Words, Chortle This, Telegraph Crunch, and the Wheel of Fiction.
Volunteer as an Event Support Specialist, where you will be assigned to a TwainFest staff member and assist them at various stations and events. This position will require additional training before the event date.
Volunteers needed from 10:30AM-2:30PM OR 2:00PM-5:30PM

Twainfest a free literary event, needs engaging volunteers to be game masters for young attendees to experience literary works while playing games. The festival is held at Heritage Park Old Town, encourages participants to earn points tthen redeem for free books.
