ORGANIZATION: City of Lacey, Lacey Museum

The Lacey City Council is currently recruiting for two vacancies on the Historical Commission.

The Lacey Historical Commission provides leadership in historic preservation and developing information concerning the historical significance of the local Lacey area. The Historical Commission meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. Historical Commission members serve three-year terms with a two-term limit. Applicants must be residents of Lacey or live in the urban growth area (UGA) of the city.

In a changing community, the Lacey Museum works to preserve and interpret Lacey history and identity. Through exhibits, educational programs, and research archives, the museum tells the story of Laceys past, present, and future.

Description

Volunteers are needed to help the museum pull off this family friendly event. We need parking attendants, activity station assistants, help with set-up and take-down and more!

This super fun event includes ice cream service, a historic fire truck, old timey musical acts, museum gallery hosts, the Ezra Meeker covered wagon, historic games, kids crafts, coloring and historic personalities.
