Do you enjoy gardening? Do you like to see the garden bloom and change with the seasons? Once you set your summer schedule and get your instructions you are free to work on your own.

What: Help tend The Umbrella -community arts center’s small gardens in our front Sculpture Garden.

Specific tasks include: Watering, weeding, and mulching of our small garden plots.

Help with basic garden maintenance of the small gardens on our front lawn. Enjoy the outdoors amid the art. Be part of a creative community of artists, teachers, musicians, and students. If you have two hours a week to help our artists maintain and develop our gardens, please contact us. You do not need to be a skilled gardener.

When: 1 ½ to 2 hours per week at your convenience during summer months (other volunteers will help when you are away).

Also, specify the day and time of day you can volunteer ~ after school or after work or weekend hours work fine.

Summer volunteering: This is a summer volunteer position that begins in June (flexible starting dates)
