PLACEMENT PURPOSE
The Disaster Health Services Regional Lead is responsible for leading and building a team of disaster health services chapter coordinators, for collaborating with other regional disaster leadership, for assisting the region in developing partnerships at regional and state levels, and for assisting the region through consultation, guidance and recruitment during regional operations.
OPEN TIME DAYS
Only occurs during large disaster events or on-call for Disaster Action Team (DAT) referrals. Shifts are generally 12 hours in shelters at the onset of disaster and may be daytime or overnight. Some outreach during daytime shifts may also occur.
