Spouse of elderly man suffering from Alzheimer's is in need of a break. Volunteer would stay with the client while his wife went out to run errands or take a break. We are looking for a mature male or female volunteer who is interested in anything related to science, nature, house cats, classical music and fencing. Someone who is patient and wouldn't mind repeating themselves. Client is hearing impaired as well.
This is a social program. We are not licensed and volunteers do not provide caregiver type duties. You are there to make sure the client remains safe while their spouse is gone.
