The APA's PetReach volunteers visit senior centers all around St. Louis with their own dogs, offering the simple gift of friendship to older adults. Sometimes these are their only visitors and the chance to chat and pet a dog are simple pleasures many of us take for granted. If you are interested in more information about PetReach, please contact assistant@apamo.org.
*Dogs that participate in this program will need to be evaluated prior to participating. We are looking for dogs that enjoy being petted, house trained, and walk well on a leash.*

Mission Statement
The Animal Protective Association of Missouri is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to bringing people and pets together, advancing humane education, and building programs beneficial to the human/animal bond. The association provides pet adoption to responsible owners, shelters lost, unwanted and abandoned animals, and works to reduce pet overpopulation. The APA extends community outreach programs to schools, hospitals, residential facilities and other organizations.
