Special Olympics Washington is dedicated to promoting respect, acceptance, inclusion and human dignity for people with intellectual disabilities through sports. Currently serving nearly 10,000 athletes across the state, we provide sports training & competition in 16 Olympic-type sports. Special Olympics provides a catalyst for social change and building communities; creating more unified communities - places where each person, regardless of ability of disability, is accepted and welcomed, and where every individual contributes to the strength and vibrancy of the whole.
Special Olympics Washington is now looking for volunteers to help out at our 2017 Summer Games from August 18th-20th. The Summer Games is the culminating championship event for athletes across the state in golf, softball, bocce, paddleboarding, and tennis. Volunteer opportunities are numerous and you do not need sporting experience to participate. To check out the volunteer opportunities, visit the link. If you would like to volunteer as a group with your friends or family members, please let us know and we will assist you in the process. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
