ORGANIZATION: WIND YOUTH SERVICES

Here at Wind Youth, one of the facilities that we have is our TAY (Transition Age Youth) shelter. It's a six bed emergency shelter for youth ages 18 to 24. We need volunteers to move furniture from storage into our shelter. Refreshments will be provided.

Description

Wind Youth Services is Sacramento County’s only program serving homeless youth. Our mission is to provide supportive services and opportunities to youth experiencing homelessness as they pursue self-determined lives of stability and independence.

Through our programs and services, Wind Youth Services provides homeless and at-risk youth between the ages of 12 and 24 with basic safety net and survival services and a safe place to stay. Wind Youth Services operates these critical community programs:

  • Street Outreach
  • Drop-in Center
  • Peer Counseling
  • Counseling
  • Youth Advocacy (Case Management)
  • Emergency Shelter for Youth Experiencing Homelessness
  • Permanent Supportive Housing Program
