Help us keep our office looking spruced up and organized to enhance the experience of our participants and volunteer groups. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented person looking for a weekly commitment.

Responsibilities:

• Checking the info@FNVW.org email
• Keeping the FNVW calendar of events up-to date
• Checking phone messages
• Printing and folding materials
• Helping with ongoing filing and archiving of documents
• Occasional kitchen cleaning and tidying of office space
• Data entry
• Other tasks as they arise

Training and Support

• Orientation to the organization and programs
• Overview of each task
• Directly supported by the Volunteer Engagement Specialist and Executive Director, depending on project
• Ongoing collaboration with FNVW staff as needed

Time Commitment

• 4-6 hours a month

Organizational Summary

Friends for a NonViolent World (FNVW) seeks a world free from violence and the threat of violence. We work to promote and create peace and justice in our community by using the principles and practices of nonviolence to transform conflict and to address the root causes of violence.

FNVW is a Quaker-inspired organization that welcomes volunteers from all faith practices as well as volunteers with no religious orientation. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive organization. We encourage volunteer applications from individuals of all backgrounds and life experiences.
