On Sunday, August 6 at 8am, the YMCA - Fairfax County Reston and Reston Association will be hosting the seventh annual Reston Kid’s Triathlon. The event is intended to be a fun opportunity for youngsters to stay active through the summer and learn about the fast growing sport of triathlon. In keeping with the missions of the sponsoring organizations, a number of the participants will be from families who might not be able to afford the entry fee and equipment for the event. Through individual and corporate sponsors, their costs will be covered. All net proceeds from this event will be used for the YMCA and RA youth scholarship programs. The Reston Kid’s Triathlon can only be a success with many community volunteers.
Volunteers receive a T-shirt, breakfast and participation in a feel good event. Volunteers under 13 must be chaperoned by an adult.
We strongly discourage parents from volunteering if your child is in the race. For more information on the event go to www.restonkidstri.org
Volunteers are needed for many different areas. Please sign-up if you would like to volunteer to support local kids.
