True Friends - Camp Eden Wood located in Eden Prairie, MN is looking for a handy helper to assist our Manager of Maintenance and Facilities, Jerry. Camp Eden Wood is roughly 10 acres of historic land, with six buildings, and many surfaces. We pack a lot of camp fun into a small location!

True Friends’ mission is to "provide life-changing experiences that enhance independence and self-esteem for children and adults with disabilities". We do this by running summer, winter, and weekend camp, a travel agency, a horse therapy program, and renting out our gorgeous four camp locations to rental groups.

This volunteer position would support our mission by attending to our maintenance and grounds to keep camp running smooth for campers, staff, and visitors. Your role would not have you interacting or caring for campers or visitors.

Here’s what our ideal volunteer is like:

• Able to be on-site approx. 15 hours/week.
• Has flexible scheduling.
• Is available to assist during the summer, and potentially longer term.
• Looking to learn new skills or wanting to develop and share existing skills.
• Knowledgeable in operating a lawn mower, chain saw, weed whip, or ready to learn!

This position is great for individuals who are looking for a meaningful and engaging volunteer experience where you’re able to have variety in tasks, learn new skills or share skills you already have for a good cause.
