Columbia-Greene Walk

The Columbia-Greene Out of the Darkness Walk is a suicide prevention awareness and fundraising event that takes place on October 13th at Henry Hudson Riverfront Park in Hudson, NY. We are looking for volunteers who would like to join the planning committee to help with various tasks like spreading the word, hanging flyers, soliciting donations, etc. Committee meets by Zoom several times during the summer leading up to the walk date and communicates over email. Other tasks are done on your own time.

Description

The Capital Region NY Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention covers 15 counties in NYS providing suicide prevention, education, training and support programs. We hold fundraising events throughout the year that raise money to support research and provide all of our research-based programs free of charge to the community.
