Sole Men

Are you man enough to volunteer four hours, pamper a room full of women, have a fantastic evening and raise money all in the fight against childhood cancer? You must be a Sole Man!

Shoe Guys a.k.a. Sole Men are an integral part of the event. They are the first faces our lovely ladies will see when they arrive, and the faces the guests will depend on throughout the evening.

Shoe Guys duties include:

Be charming! These ladies are wearing heals and depend on you to make life easy on them!

Escort our guests into the event, make sure they stop to get their picture taken, leave the ladies with a smile!

Encourage our guests to purchase a "Key to the Closet" or pick from the "Wall of Wine";

Dig out your inner "Alfred" and learn to balance things on trays! You help keep the evening lively by displaying vendor products on silver platters as you engage our guests, network, and have fun, all in the name of charity.

Get Crowned "King of Sole".

Businesses are welcome to create a team of "Sole-Men" - contact Erica@maxcure.org for more information.

Fundraising is not a requirement, but it helps!

Take your generosity a step further by fundraising for The Max Cure Foundation until the day of the event. Create your personalized fundraising page, encourage friends, family & co-workers to support your efforts by donating towards your efforts.

The Sole Man who raises the most money by the event will be crowned this year’s King of Sole during our main event.

Mission Statement

The Max Cure Foundation for Pediatric Cancer Causes is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation dedicated to advancing a cure for pediatric cancer and finding less toxic, more effective treatments for children with cancer through: -Raising funds for innovative research to improve treatments and quality of life during and post treatment -financial and emotional support of low-income and active military families that have a child battling pediatric cancer -Building public awareness of the future to cure pediatric cancer -Inspiring hope and courage in children with cancer, their families and communities

Description

On May 2, 2007 - one day before his 4th birthday - Max Plotkin was diagnosed with a rare form of B-Cell Lymphoma in the bone. Max’s doctors pursued a range of aggressive treatments. Max faced each treatment with amazing courage, and to help him to be brave, Max brought his favorite stuffed lion to his cancer treatments.
Just as Max symbolizes courage and bravery in the face of adversity to those who know him personally, the Foundation’s logo, Lion Max, and its public message and mantra, Be Brave, symbolize these virtues.
Thankfully, Max , now 10-years-old, responded well to his treatments. Now in remission, he is doing his best to overcome the side-effects of chemotherapy and to enjoy childhood.
Compelled to help other children and families battling pediatric cancer, the Plotkin family formed The Max Cure Foundation for Pediatric Cancer Causes.
