Special Book Donation: Help Packing and Loading

Words Alive and the Harry Potter Alliance teamed up over the spring to collect over 6,000 books for a book giveaway! The books are going into the hands and libraries of the underserved Golden Hill community next week through a book giveaway available to all students and families who attend Golden Hill K-8 School.

This is a special event that provides access to books, encourages and enables families to build their home libraries, and gives students reading material for the summer to prevent the summer slide!

Join us in preparing for this big day! Volunteers needed Tuesday, June 27th to help Words Alive staff load and unload books for giveaway. We have a UHAUL truck, and need able-bodied volunteers to help load and unload boxes of books in/out of the truck. Volunteers should be comfortable lifting 20-30 lbs. and going up/down a flight of stairs.

Tuesday, June 27th
Volunteers meet at Words Alive Office at 2pm
Volunteers and staff follow the UHAUL to the school and unload at 4pm
*event will likely end before 5:30pm

GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR GROUPS OR CORPORATIONS! Words Alive can provide group photos and a report on hours given for this event.
