International exchange students are coming from China to our community this summer to participate in the EF/Educational Homestay Programs. Education First/Educational Homestay Programs is a nonprofit division of EF that offers exciting and educational opportunities, bringing students from abroad to America to improve and enhance their English language skills and to experience and learn about our American way of life.

This summer, students from China, ages 9 to 13, will be arriving in our community on July 27 th and departing on August 12th. We are currently looking for loving and caring host families to open their homes and their hearts to these students during their visit. We ask our volunteer host families to provide a bed for their student, (in their own room or in a shared room of the same gender and within three years of age), meals, and transportation to and from their course center, Crosslife Church in Oviedo. The students are with EF staff in morning class and participate in educational/cultural activities in the afternoon, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am to 5:30pm, so this is great for working families also. The students spend quality time with their host families in the evenings and on the weekends. Host family teens can earn up to 45 hours of community service by hosting in this summer program. Also, for every new family that you refer to us, you or your chosen organization/charity will receive a $25 dollar donation, and you can also earn great discounts on other EF travel products.The students come fully insured and bring their own spending money. Local EF/EHP staff is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, while the students are here.

Our host families, who open their homes and hearts for these few weeks in the summer, are a vital aspect of this program and truly a blessing to these students.
