The VEGOUT Mobile Markets take healthy, local produce to community members that don't have access to these food choices. Farmers' Market style food stand. On Tuesdays from June through October, volunteers staff a mobile farm stand providing free produce in conjunction with the Pettengill Food Pantry. Duties include setting up and breaking down the stand, restocking produce, produce quality control, engage and excite customers, share recipes and food storage tips, assist with finding shift coverage. Positive attitude and customer service orientation needed.
Two shifts: 8:30AM - 11:30AM and 11:30AM - 2:30PM

Description
At NNS, we are growing food, community and relationships so that everyone has enough food and eats well. We are dedicated to supporting the health of our community, the environment and local growers by strengthening our connections with each other and the food we eat. Our programs include VegOut (fresh produce access and distribution program), "Pitch In" volunteer teams, food recovery, community events and garden-based education. All of our programs support healthy eating, local farms, and community building. We are committed to breaking down the barriers to healthy eating presented by traditional food sourcing.
