PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Assist Red Cross in delivering mission by preventing and alleviating human suffering caused by disasters.
OPEN TIME DAYS
Minimum of one (1) shift per week
Shift are
Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.⦆or 12:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
and
Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
REQUIRED TRAINING• Orientation to the American Red Cross
• Disaster Services: An Overview (modules one and two)
• Disaster Action Team Fundamentals- if this course is not available yet, take regional/chapter DAT training
• Casework & Recovery Planning Fundamentals
• Recovery Services: An Overview
• Psychological First Aid
• Client Assistance System⦆ (CAS 2.0) training
• Mentoring with Casework Supervisor
