ORGANIZATION: IHS, Institute for Human Services, Inc.

Aloha,

My name is Irene Hassan, and I am the Chaplain for the Institute for Human Services, which is a homeless service provider in Honolulu. From 12:00 pm, Friday, June 30 to 1:00 pm, Sunday July 2, I.H.S. is sponsoring a retreat at Camp Mokuleia on the North Shore for a sub-population of our recently housed clients. It is an exciting volunteer opportunity for them to find space to discern a sense of calling in their lives now that they are stable and housed!

Unfortunately, I am not gifted with music, and having a guitarist come with us would be a wonderful treat. I need a guitarist to play at the morning meditations by the seashore on Saturday and Sunday mornings, and the campfires on Friday and Saturday nights. The guitarist is welcome to participate in all activities with us, as well as stay in the Lodge with a seaview on Friday and Saturday nights. All meals are included. Can provide transportation if needed, given that you live on the route between Honolulu and the North Shore. Background check required.

If you are as excited as we are about serving the homeless and transforming lives, this volunteer opportunity may be for you! Please call Chaplain Irene at 206-693-8009 or irenew@ihs-hawaii.org for more information. Mahalo!
