ORGANIZATION: Elk Run Farm

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

Elk Run Farm is hosting drop-in work parties this summer every Wednesday from 4 pm - 7 pm. This is a great opportunity to get your hands dirty and learn about farming while growing fresh, healthy produce for the food banks of South King County. Feel free to stop by for as long as you'd like, as often as you'd like. Kids are welcome! Formerly part of the Elk Run Golf Course in Maple Valley, Elk Run Farm is a brand new, nonprofit farm that is working to provide food for some of the areas most vulnerable families. This year, thousands of pounds of fresh and organic produce will be produced and distributed by The South King County Food Coalition to 12 area food banks, including the Maple Valley Food Bank.
