Do you have a green thumb? Would you like to use your love of gardening to help give back to the library and the community? Ada Community Library’s Victory Branch is looking for individuals or groups to assist with our tiered garden beds as part of our monthly maintenance. Join us to prune, pull weeds , and beautify our flower garden.
Volunteers should have the ability to use gardening tools, and the ability to lift, pull, stand, bend and kneel. No plant expertise is required but must be able to follow directions and work independently. Dates and hours are flexible. Bottled water and trash bags are provided but please bring your own gardening gloves to each session. Some tools are provided but if you have some favorite tools at home, feel free to bring them. Report to library staff. Some training and guidance will be offered by library staff garden experts. This position is for ages 13 to adult. Special arrangements can be made for groups (Scouts, 4H, rotary clubs, master gardeners, etc.) who want to work as team for just a few sessions.
