Bike MS: Fint Hills 2017
An incredible experience where you will embark on a journey filled with laughter, excitement, support and a profound sense of accomplishment. Your participation will drive MS research forward faster, and deliver programs and services to those who face the challenges of MS every day.
Get Involved!
There are many different volunteer opportunities available and shift times/lengths. Just a few of our opportunities are posted below. Don't see something that works for you? Reach out to us and we will find a way for you to be involved!
-Bike Check-in/Check-out (organize bikes by rider numbers and carefully store them in a secure area)
-Cheer and Flair (cheer at finish line/decorate sites)
-Food Service (serve tasty food to hungry cyclists)
-Luggage Team Members (loading/storing and retrieving luggage)
-Packet Pick-Up (hand out rider packets, t-shirts, and goodie bags to participants)
-Rest Stop/Lunch Stops (set up/take down and man rest stops/lunch)

Description
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society funds more MS research, offers more services to people with MS, provides more professional education programs and advances more MS advocacy efforts than any other MS organization in the world. Through its home office and fifty-state network of chapters, the National MS Society provides assistance to over a million people annually in its continuing mission to end the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis. The Mid America Chapter serves 159 counties in Kansas and Missouri.
Seeking out and engaging volunteers to the MS cause is at the very core of our business. Each year the Society organizes a series of community events that provide many opportunities for the enthusiastic volunteer. The Society offers two key fundraising activities: Bike MS, and Walk MS Walk. The Society also engages volunteers to help influence law-makers at the federal, state and municipal levels toward legislation important to people with MS. The Society is looking for passionate volunteers with expertise in areas such as: marketing communications, public relations, corporate and donor development, medical, legal, administrative and organizational expertise.
